Should Nudity Limit a person’s Growth as an Actor?

I was learning how to tweet today with a the assistance of a person I’ve never met, @KingHoneyBee.  KingHoneyBee tweeted to ask me about a model I posted on another blog I started that is focused primarily on nudes that include erotic images and porn.  Well that model was Fitzgerald Scott.   I had chosen not to add Fitzgerald Scott to this blog because of is aspirations to become a actor and because I didn’t want his endowment to be a detraction from the content on this blog. 

After reviewing his pictures and doing a little digging into Mr. Scott, I found myself placing a bias on him as an actor because of his nudity in images.  For the first time in my life this bias hit me hard.  I don’t know why I feel this way but I would assume it is because of the was Ms. Vanessa Williams was treated because of her nudes. 

I didn’t want to be a contributing factor in the limitations of anyone’s career because of my added exposure of artistic or erotic expressions in photography or film that may be in that persons past.  That very thought was like a shining light from above.   These expressions should not limit a person exposure or growth in different areas of media.  This is an antiquated state of mind that has not place in our country and I am sorry I was a subconscious contributor to this bias.  Without ever really thinking about the true ramification of my actions, I has allowed myself to fall into a state of mind that does not fully a line with what I know to be right.

I think Mr. Fitzgerald Scott is an extraordinarily attractive man.  I have not seen him act but I am looking forward to.  I am current looking for video of him in action but as of yet, I have not found any.  I wish Mr. Scott nothing but the best and I can’t wait to see how far he goes in every form of media he chooses.

I am working on growing out my third set of locks and I am happy with the way they are forming.  The thing I think I love the most about Sidney’s pictures are his locks.  Don’t get me wrong he is an attractive man.  I think his small frame is sexy on him, but his body with those long locks makes me feel some kind of way. I can only imagine how I will carry on when my hair gets that long.  I may never want to get dressed again. ;>

ARE GROUPS OF BLACK MEN FRIGHTENING? I work in a corporate environment, which needless to say is predominantly white.  However, there are a few “minorities” employed in my department.  Of the total amount, approximately 35% are black and about 1 5% are black male.  It has been noticed that when groups of white males congregate for basic conversation, lunch or work, no one seems to take notice.  To the contrary, when black males congregate either for conversation, lunch or work, it seems that no one can miss the opportunity to acknowledge the “event”.  Comments like this are often made:  “you all know you can’t be together like that,” or “what are you all up to?” and the most common one is “you are up to no good.”  Typically we talk about sports, the weekend or just some random event that recently happened.  Quite often it is about work.  Nevertheless, these meetings seem to grab the attention of anyone who witnesses it.  By the way, even black people notice and make comments.  What is it about a group of black men that draws attention?  Why are we not allowed to commune without being “up to no good?”  Initially, I wanted to believe that being noticed was just my perception of things.  But every single time three or more black men were together in a hallway or an elevator, comments have been made that can lead one to deduce that this is not well received.  The real question is; what is it about a group of black men, even in a corporate environment, that draws the ire of so many?  We’re not gang members, nor are we selling drugs.  Further, we aren’t trying to overthrow management to establish a black plutocracy, dominated by the family members of past and current middle to upper management.  That would be too similar to the actual status quo. Whatever it is, I think it deserves attention, at least it’s worth mentioning.  I also suspect that the relationship black men have, has been heavily influenced by this unwritten rule: don’t get caught in a group of brothers.  If nothing else, it can make some hesitant to associate with the people in which he has so much in common.   Divide and conquer; same game, different time.

Growing up in the military culture, I expected this diversity to be true of civilian life.  Mind you at this point in my life I was a sheltered 18 year old. When I moved back into a civilian life, I realized how cold the world truly was. As a 33 year old man it still breaks my heart to see the dysfunctions driving our national division.  For 12 years of my life I couldn’t understand why some in our country are so set on destroying everything in their path for the sake of wealth.  The vastness of our national issues makes them seem unconquerable, until we started to wake up.   Slowly the masses are joining together to regain control of a class system on the verge of becoming a caste system.   For many of us the reality of the forming caste system has already destroyed lives.  We are realizing the true strength of our numbers and the improvements to quality of life diversity brings, but we still have a long way to go. For some reason sex, race, age, religion, political party, and sexuality have divided us.  I don’t see the point in fighting over these things.  The world is changing too fast to allow these dramas to distract us from protecting, maintaining, and developing our nation.    In order to achieve the change our nations really needs, we have to first deal with the very real issues facing our infrastructure.  As a gay black man, the changes I desire may not be totally aligned with yours but I’m shore we all can come to a consensus.  We have to at least try.
